The Anglican Gathering of Ottawa reflects a growing number of Anglicans from across the Diocese of Ottawa seeking to continue to follow the traditional teaching and beliefs of the Anglican Church. Our desire is to bring glory and honour to God in both our public and personal lives.

Members of the Anglican Gathering of Ottawa are in broad agreement with the re-statement of belief in the 1994 Montreal Declaration of Anglican Essentials.

Our vision is "to encourage strong local biblically-faithful Anglican churches throughout the Ottawa region and beyond that are passionate in worship, powerful in preaching and prepared for effective mission and evangelism."

The Anglican Gathering of Ottawa operated as a charitable non-profit corporation from its founding in 2004 until 2012. At that point, having witnessed the establishment of four ANiC churches and two projects in the region, the board voted to relinquish the corporate charitable status, and continue as a focus group with a web site and regular magazine, The Fellowship Call.

"The submission of liberal Protestantism to a secular gospel rests upon a failure to accept the essentials of the Christian faith. The first and most critical step in halting the slide of the mainline churches is the restoration of their commitment to authodox theology. Everything else depends on that."   - From "The Empty Church: the suicide of liberal Christianity," by Thomas Reeves (1998)

"The priests rule by their own authority, and my people love it this way, but what will you do in the end? - Jer 5:31"
Most gracious God, we humbly beseech thee for thy holy catholic church. Fill it with all truth; in all truth with all peace. Where it is corrupt, purify it; where it is in error, direct it; where any thing is amiss, reform it; where it is right, strengthen and confirm it; where it is in want, furnish it; where it is divided and rent asunder, make it whole again; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
